Freshers week

Orientation week

Orientation is an essential service provided to all new students upon their arrival at the College. New students are required to attend a series of orientation seminars, which aim to ease their transition into college life by addressing potential obstacles that might affect their academic progress. These seminars also familiarize students with, and provide opportunities to experience, both on- and off-campus activities for personal, social, cultural, and intellectual development.

1

Orientation seminars

During the orientation seminars, students are exposed to a variety of information relating to their studies and the College in general. They learn about the College structure and its operations and become acquainted with its officers and staff. Moreover, students are exposed to and thoroughly briefed on issues such as their rights and responsibilities and on matters such as academic regulations, assessment and grading.

2

Student advisors

A very important part of the orientation for a student is getting to know their advisor. Student advisors help students prepare for their academic year, review all necessary issues needed to fulfil graduation requirements and assist them in setting educational and career goals.

3

Tour of all College facilities

Orientation concludes with a tour of all College facilities. Particular attention is given to the College library, where students are introduced to the variety of services it has to offer.

4

Student identity card

The Student Identity Card is issued for all the students and offers a number of benefits, for example discounts in shops/restaurants and a 50 % discount on bus fares.
